Biography

Hello, my name is Felicia (Fee) Dominguez. I was born in 1994 and grew up in Torrington, Wyoming, in a Mexican American family. Art has always been the driving force in my life, fueling my passion and shaping my career. Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate to have many mentors, from my fourth-grade art teacher who first encouraged my creativity to my current mentor, Brayan Vallejo, a talented tattoo artist who continues to guide me.

I was the first in my family to pursue higher education, earning a double major in Fine Arts and Art Education in 2018. Shortly after graduating, I accepted a teaching position in Karlstad, Sweden, where I taught sewing to students. This experience not only allowed me to share my love for art with others but also gave me the opportunity to travel throughout Europe for the first time. The time abroad provided a fresh perspective on life, and in 2019, I returned to the United States ready to pursue a career closer to home. I dove into freelancing, expanding my graphic design portfolio by working with local businesses and building connections within the art community.

My journey into tattooing began with curiosity and a deep respect for the craft. I spent a lot of time researching the art form, hesitant to start without proper guidance. I found myself drawn to hand-poking—a minimalist tattoo technique that requires only the essentials. Learning about its indigenous roots and cultural significance only deepened my appreciation for the method, and I quickly fell in love with the repetitive, meditative process. Each completed tattoo felt like a personal achievement, a testament to my dedication and growing skill.

It wasn’t long before I realized I wanted to expand my skills beyond hand-poking and take on the challenge of machine tattooing. Eager to push my boundaries as an artist, I began searching for the right mentor. That’s when I met Brayan, a tattoo artist with a decade of experience who saw potential in my work and took me on as an apprentice. His guidance has been invaluable as I navigate this new chapter, learning the intricacies of machine work and refining my technique.

Now, as I continue to grow under my mentor’s guidance, I am excited to master the art of machine tattooing. This chapter is about more than just acquiring a new skill—it’s about evolving as an artist and pushing the boundaries of what I can create. With each day, I look forward to seeing where this path will take me, knowing that my lifelong passion for art will always guide me forward.
